No Faith?

Source of Inspiration

Leap_of_Faith

How can I believe when I don’t?
Does faith come in pills?
Can I buy it in a store?
Find it in a religion?

The interesting thing
about faith is that we
can ask for it. We start
with an intention, then
we ask.  Next act as if it
has arrived. What would
you do differently if you
had faith? Have more
compassion? Be more loving?

Begin today…the process is
simple…intention, ask,
act as if. Give it time;
you will find that
faith is a gift
ready to be given
if only we ask.

Well of Stupidity

Source of Inspiration

stupidity

There exists a well of collective
stupidity. I shake my head in disbelief
as so many line up
to drink its bountiful waters.

Yet, I know I’ve filled
my cup there on occasion
for its water tastes sweet
until it is too late to escape
the bitterness of its aftertaste.

Our Connections

Source of Inspiration

We are not connected
to God,
rather, we are pieces,
parts of the Divine.

Me? Flabby, impatient me
full of flaws and fear?
Impossible!
Yet within is a voice
that whispers “Beloved”
even in my darkest hours.

Tears of Fire

Source of Inspiration

shadow

It did not happen
the memory is a bad dream
don’t think about it
so the bogeyman will
go away.
You just imagined it
push the fear
down further
swallow those
tears of fire.

I walk in the valley of madness
where ghosts mix with realities
tiptoe past family lies
holding on as best I can.

How long can I hide?
How far can I run?
All the while my shadow
follows me
until I learn to let
it be part of me
an echo from my past
